Ceasefire Maintained Along Entire Line of Contact in Nagorno-Karabakh, Russian Defense Ministry
The ceasefire regime in Nagorno-Karabakh is being maintained along the entire line of contact, with one reported violation in the Hadrut region on December 11, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
“The ceasefire regime is being upheld along the entire line of contact. On December 11, one violation was recorded in the Hadrut area. Thanks to the actions of Russian peacekeepers, the likelihood of further escalation of the situation has been prevented,” the Russian Defense Ministry stated in a communiqué.
It was also reported that the Russian peacekeeping contingent is ensuring the safe return of citizens to their permanent residences, providing humanitarian assistance, as well as restoring civil infrastructure. According to the latest data, 38,341 refugees have returned to Nagorno-Karabakh.
In addition, engineering reconnaissance works and demining activities continue in Stepanakert. An area of 8 hectares and a 7 km long road, including Marshal Baghramyan Street in Stepanakert, have been cleared, along with 50 buildings. A total of 51 unexploded munitions have been found and removed from the area for destruction.
Moreover, Russian doctors have provided outpatient medical assistance to 23 local residents in the village of Aygestan.
