YouTube to Ban or Remove Fake Information
YouTube will begin removing content related to inaccurate information or allegations of fraud concerning the U.S. presidential elections. According to the video hosting service, in September, the company removed over 8,000 YouTube channels and thousands of video uploads that spread "fake information about previous elections" or otherwise violated the company’s policies.
“We will start removing any uploaded content that may mislead people by asserting fraud or mistakes that changed the outcome of the 2020 presidential election,” the company’s press service stated.
