No One Stood By the World's First Country to Adopt Christianity: Cher

The world-renowned singer and actress Cher, also known as Sherilyn Sarkisian, addressed the situation surrounding Armenia and Artsakh on her Twitter microblog.

The Armenian-American singer wrote that Armenia is a small country surrounded by enemies and under blockade, lacking natural resources.

“A dark day for Christianity. No one stood by the world’s first nation to adopt Christianity because we have only history and culture, and we cannot export that. Thank you, humanity,” Cher wrote, adding, “Turkey has exterminated 2 million Armenians. Azerbaijan is also trying to kill, and no one is extending a helping hand because Azerbaijan has oil.”
