First Time We Are Forced to Independently Collect Names of Armenian Casualties, Missing Persons and Prisoners: Razm.info
As of December 11, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia and other state bodies have not yet published the full list of known names of those who died during the war. Almost all of us have acquaintances who have died and have already been buried, but their names are still not in the official list.
It is regrettable that for the first time in the 9 years of Razm.info's operation, we are forced to independently collect the names of Armenian casualties, missing persons, and prisoners—something we previously did only for Azerbaijan's hidden losses. This statement was made by the Razm.info website.
Our goal is to ensure that no name is forgotten, to systematically gather information about the losses. In the future, if we have the opportunity, we will publish books, prepare films, but for now, the first and most important step is to start compiling systematic lists.
We hope this information will also be useful in protecting the interests and rights of the relatives of the deceased and the missing (as we understand, this will be an ongoing issue for years to come). We also believe that the relatives of fallen VOLUNTEERS are particularly vulnerable since the registration of volunteers during the war was often poorly organized, leading many of their relatives to face challenges, including issues related to accessing state support.
Razm.info is launching a special program for the cataloging of our deceased, missing, and captured individuals. As a first step, we ask our readers, whose relatives, friends, or acquaintances died, went missing, or found themselves in captivity during the war, to follow the link below and carefully and completely fill out the online form.
Please make sure to provide your contact details (phone number, and if you have, your email address) so that we can reach out to you for additional questions.
