Former Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Advises Baku to Beware of Ankara
The former Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mohsen Pakayin, has advised Baku to be cautious of Ankara following criticism from Tehran regarding comments made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. According to a report by Armenpress, citing the Russian news agency RIA Novosti, Pakayin expressed this on his Twitter microblog.
“By reading the poem, Erdoğan demonstrated his ignorance of history, geography, and the situation in the region. He raised the acute question of dividing Azerbaijani territories from Iran, as well as casting doubt on the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan. With its company, Ankara is providing a bear service to Baku. Baku should be wary of Ankara,” wrote the former ambassador.
