Lena Nazaryan's Statement on MP Aram Khachatryan's Resignation Request
The Acting Speaker of the National Assembly, Lena Nazaryan, has issued a statement regarding the resignation request submitted by MP Aram Khachatryan.
According to Article 155, Part 1 of the Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, MP Aram Khachatryan submitted his resignation request on December 8.
As per Article 155, Part 2 of the same law, if the MP withdraws his resignation request in writing within a week after the announcement, the speaker of the National Assembly will make a statement regarding this. If he does not withdraw the request, a protocol will be drawn up regarding the cessation of his powers, which will be signed and published by the speaker of the National Assembly. The resignation is considered accepted from the moment of the protocol's publication.
