Yuri Voskanyan, Actor of Gyumri's V. Ajemian State Drama Theatre, Passes Away
Yuri Voskanyan, an actor of Gyumri's V. Ajemian State Drama Theatre and a deserving artist of the Republic of Armenia, has passed away. This information was reported on the theatre's Facebook page.
Yuri Voskanyan was born in 1938 in Leninakan (now Gyumri). He joined the theatre's creative team in 1962 and remained an actor at the V. Ajemian State Drama Theatre until his death.
In 2003, Voskanyan was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia, as well as the "Golden Medal" by the Ministry of Culture of Armenia.
