Car Crashes into Barrier and Rolls 35 Meters Down a Slope on Chambarak-Drahtik Road

On December 6, at 15:45, the Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center received a report of a traffic accident in the Chamabrak mountain pass, with casualties involved.

A fire-rescue team from the regional emergency management department was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that at the 8th kilometer of the Chambarak-Drahtik roadway, a Nissan Tiida vehicle, driven by Hratchik M. (born in 1990), collided with the roadway's barrier and rolled approximately 35 meters down the adjacent slope.

Before the rescuers arrived, passenger Hermine Z. (born in 1958) was extracted from the vehicle by local force and was hospitalized at the Chamabrak Medical Center. Rescuers also removed passenger Nazik S. (born in 1966) from the vehicle and brought her to the ambulance, where she was similarly hospitalized at the Chamabrak Medical Center. Doctors reported that the health condition of both victims was assessed as satisfactory.

The rescuers disconnected the vehicle’s battery and closed the gas cylinder valve.
