Armenian Community Protests Outside British Petroleum Office in London
The Armenian community in the UK is holding a peaceful protest in London outside the office of the international oil and gas company British Petroleum, demanding an end to business ties with Azerbaijan.
According to Armenpress, participants of the rally say that the company, which has an office in Azerbaijan and extracts and exports Azerbaijani oil, is funding the war against Artsakh.
Waving flags of Armenia and Artsakh, the protesters chanted slogans such as "Stop funding the war," "Stop funding terrorism," "Shame on BP," "BP is killing people," and various other expressions of dissent.
The peaceful protest participants also emphasize that Armenia and Artsakh are currently fighting against the dictatorial regime of Azerbaijan, which is funded by British Petroleum.
