Iran Launches Artillery Strikes on Azerbaijani Positions
Iran has launched artillery strikes on Azerbaijani positions following an incident in which an Azerbaijani armed forces drone entered its airspace, Aysor.am reports, citing Discover24.ru.
It has been noted that the Azerbaijanis either mistakenly or deliberately fired a drone toward Iran, which was intended to fall in a densely populated area. It is possible that in the future, Baku planned to shift all the blame onto Yerevan.
However, Iran's air defense systems were able to quickly shoot down the drone and identify its launch site. Subsequently, Iranian armed forces targeted Azerbaijani positions with artillery strikes. Neither side has officially confirmed this information, but some sources on social media indicate that at least two Azerbaijani military units have come under fire.
