Karol Pailan is Not Alone: Petition Launched in Turkey
The Eurasian Strategic Research Center (ASAM) based in Turkey has targeted Armenian MP Karol Pailan, who has called for peace amid the Armenian-Azerbaijani armed clashes. This was reported by Ermenihaber.
In its statements published in newspapers, ASAM referred to Pailan as a "traitor" and a representative of a "party supporting terrorist groups." The organization has urged the judiciary and parliament to "take necessary measures" against him, effectively targeting the Armenian MP.
Following this statement, a petition has been launched in support of Karol Pailan. "MP Karol Pailan has become a target of hate speech for voicing his opinion, declared an enemy. We have seen many times how such targeting leads to tragedies and devastation. Therefore, we all together declare that Karol Pailan is not alone," reads the petition text.
Numerous political figures, former and current officials, intellectuals, artists, doctors, teachers, workers, and ordinary citizens have participated in the campaign and signed the petition. The names of the participants can be found on the original source website.
