Transfer of Foreign Militant Terrorists from Syria and Libya to Azerbaijan by Turkey Has Long-Term Goals: Anna Naghdalyan
More than 50 international leading media outlets have registered journalist teams, comprising around 200 journalists, over a hundred of whom were already working in Artsakh. This was reported by the spokesperson for the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anna Naghdalyan, at the Armenian Unified Information Center, noting that the journalists found themselves under fire.
She mentioned that a journalist who was seriously injured from France was operated on in one of the hospitals in Artsakh, and arrangements are being made for the journalist's transfer to Armenia. She indicated that the vehicle transporting journalists came under targeted fire, despite the fact that the journalists had special insignia and gear.
She stated that the deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure with artillery and heavy equipment constitutes a violation of international law, and such behavior is to be severely condemned.
Regarding Turkey's involvement, Anna Naghdalyan said that the provocative actions of the Turkish armed forces undermine regional security and peace, disrupting the international community's efforts to cease hostilities. “The transfer of foreign militant terrorists from Syria and Libya to Azerbaijan by Turkey has long-term goals,” she said, pointing out that Azerbaijan could become a base for such groups, turning the region into a battleground of bloodshed. She noted that this prospect also poses a threat to neighboring regions.
“Just hours ago, the Foreign Minister had a phone call with his French counterpart and is currently conducting a videoconference with the Greek counterpart,” she informed.
