Farewell to Fallen Soldiers from Artsakh in Vanadzor and Shirakamut Communities
In the St. Grigor Narekatsi Cathedral of Vanadzor, memorial services were held yesterday for the fallen soldiers Georgi Vachaghani Hovsepyan, Samvel Gagiki Marukyan, Sevak Vovayi Zurabyan, Erik Furmani Jilavyan, Davit Tigrani Asilyan, and the community of Shirakamut's Smbat Hmayaki Mazmanyan. Today, October 1, the burial rites for the fallen soldiers took place.
The Primate of the Gugark Diocese, His Grace Archbishop Sepuh Chuljyan, stated in his speech: "The homeland is a homeland as long as there is a courageous nation ready to martyr itself for the sacred cause of defending and saving that homeland. Therefore, if the Armenian people had not stood as volunteers, there would be no Armenian statehood, and the glorious history of the Armenian people would not have been forged. Long live our brave ones, the Armenian soldiers!"
The attendees bid farewell to the brave martyrs with applause.
