Russia Opens Borders for Citizens of Armenia and Several Foreign Nationals
The Embassy of Russia in Armenia has announced that the right to enter Russia is granted under family reunification and several other humanitarian circumstances.
"All foreign citizens, including those from the Republic of Armenia, can travel to the Russian Federation if there are a number of grounds primarily based on humanitarian factors. Thus, traveling to Russia is allowed for family reunification and several other humanitarian cases," the embassy reported.
According to the Russian Embassy in Armenia, foreign citizens' entry into Russia remains restricted as per the government's specified order. However, it should be emphasized that all foreign citizens, including Armenians, can enter Russia under certain conditions. Foreigners who are family members (spouses, parents, children) of Russian citizens can enter the country. Entry is also permitted for individuals holding residence permits in Russia or those being sent for treatment at Russian medical institutions. Additionally, citizens who need to take care of their sick patient or close relative (spouses, parents, children, adoptive parents, adopted children), guardians and trustees can also enter the country.
Currently, entry into Russia for work is only possible for citizens working in the field of calibration and maintenance of foreign-manufactured equipment. Furthermore, entry is allowed for highly qualified specialists in the field of physical education and sports.
"Once again, we would like to emphasize that all restrictive measures have been imposed with one goal in mind: to prevent the spread of the dangerous disease and to protect the life and health of citizens as much as possible," said the diplomatic mission. It was noted that with the stabilization of the epidemiological situation, restrictions will gradually be lifted. "The time will come and air communication will be fully restored. Work is being done in this direction. We hope the wait will not be long," said the Russian Embassy in Armenia.
