Collision Involving Volkswagen Touareg and Tractor Results in 1 Fatality and 4 Injuries
A tragic car accident occurred today, September 5, in the Kotayk region. At approximately 19:50, a Volkswagen Touareg collided with a tractor on the 1st kilometer of the Nor Geghi-Eghvard highway.
According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the crash, five individuals were injured and were assisted by nearby citizens and firefighters from the Emergency Situations Ministry's Eghvard fire and rescue team before being transported to Eghvard hospital.
While investigators from the second police battalion's third platoon, Mays Badoyan and Avetik Avetisyan, were working at the scene, a report was received from the hospital indicating that one of the injured persons had succumbed to their injuries.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 242, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, as per the decision of investigator Arsenyan. The police and investigation department are currently identifying the tractor driver, the Touareg driver, the deceased, and the injured parties.
