Edgar Malakhyan to be Detained

The Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court has granted a motion by the investigator to detain football player Edgar Malakhyan as a preventive measure, said the lawyer of the Malakhyan brothers, Gor Mikaelyan, to Aysor.am. Edgar Malakhyan will be detained for a period of one month.

“In one decision, the arrest was deemed unlawful, while in another decision, the motion to detain the football player was upheld,” said the lawyer. He noted that the court session regarding the preventive measure for his other brother, Gor Malakhyan, had been interrupted. The session will continue today at 18:00.
