The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party faction in the State Duma, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, has been vaccinated against the coronavirus. This was reported by 'Izvestia', citing the party's press service.

It is noted that the political figure is among the first to receive a vaccine against this disease. He has become the world's first volunteer participant in the clinical trials of the 'Sputnik V' vaccine. The vaccine was developed by specialists at the Gamaleya Research Center.

The vaccination is conducted in two phases. The second injection will take place in three weeks, after which doctors will monitor his health for six months.
