Schoolyard Dispute Among Children Ends in Brawl: 12-Year-Old Hospitalized

The Central Police Department is conducting an investigation into the incident of inflicting bodily harm.

As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, on August 26, at around 18:10, a call was received at the Central Police Department from the Muratsan Medical Center, stating that a child had been admitted with a diagnosis of "polytrauma." The police officers from the juvenile affairs unit of the Central Police Department found that the victim is 12-year-old Norair M., a resident of Yerevan attending the 7th grade at the Narek Dosi School No. 14.

Through necessary measures, the police officers discovered that a dispute had occurred in the schoolyard between Norair M. and two other students, 12-year-old Ashot G. from another school and 14-year-old Ruben S. During the altercation, they reportedly punched and kicked Norair M.

Authorities also confirmed that the child's life and health are not in danger.
