Germany Believes Navalny Was Likely Poisoned
The German authorities suspect that Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny was likely poisoned. This was stated by the official representative of the German government, Stefan Seibert, during a press conference, according to the Meduza publication.
He noted that the German authorities did not send an official invitation for Navalny's treatment but assisted in his transportation. It is important to remember that the political figure has been in a coma since August 20. His health deteriorated on a flight from Tomsk to Moscow, which made an emergency landing in Omsk. After spending two days in an Omsk hospital, Navalny was transferred to Berlin.
Navalny's supporters believe that doctors delayed the patient's transfer to allow the poison to completely leave his system. Omsk specialists claimed that no traces of toxic substances were found in the politician's body.
