Explosion in Yaroslavl: Woman and Child May be Trapped Under Rubble
An explosion occurred in a multi-story building in Yaroslavl, resulting in the collapse of the 3rd to 5th floors, with one woman confirmed dead, reports RIA Novosti.
Earlier reports indicated that a gas explosion had taken place in one of the apartments of the building located at 5 Batov Street, prompting an evacuation.
According to rescue services, one person has died and three others have been injured. "Upon arrival at the scene, it was determined that a collapse had occurred in a 9-story residential building in the area between the 3rd and 5th floors. Residents are being evacuated. There are three injured. One woman has died," stated officials from the Yaroslavl regional Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Reports indicate that a woman and a child may be trapped under the rubble. More than 60 people have been evacuated, and the building houses 342 registered residents.
