Tragic Car Accident: Driver's Twin Brother Dies on the Spot, Sister and Driver Hospitalized

On August 7, a major and tragic car accident occurred in the Syunik Province. Around 7:00 AM, 24-year-old Garik S. lost control of his Ford Transit vehicle on the Yerevan-Eraskh-Meghri highway at the 181.5 km mark under still unknown circumstances, veering off the roadway, colliding with concrete barriers, and rolling over nearly 80 meters into a river.

According to reports from shamshyan.com and photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, driver Garik S. and passenger, 33-year-old Zhanna Q., sustained bodily injuries and were transported to the 'Sisian' medical center, while the other passenger, 24-year-old Alik S., died on the spot.

As reported by G. Shamshyan, the deceased and the injured driver are twin brothers, and the woman is their sister.
