Lebanon Declares August 5 as a Day of Mourning
The President of Lebanon, Michel Aoun, has called for an emergency meeting of the Supreme Security Council. This was reported by TASS.
According to Al Manar television, the meeting will discuss the explosion that occurred near the port of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and its consequences.
In memory of the victims of the explosion at the Beirut port, Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab has declared August 5 as a day of mourning.
Preliminary data indicates that 10 people have died, with hundreds more injured.
