Judges' General Assembly Votes in Favor of Ervand Khundkaryan's Nomination for Constitutional Court Judge
According to "Factinfo," the Judges' General Assembly has voted in favor of the nomination of Ervand Khundkaryan, President of the Court of Cassation, for the position of judge of the Constitutional Court. In contrast, the number of judges voting for Arman Kurekhyans' nomination from the General Jurisdiction Court of Tavush province was low, with his rating being significantly lower at only 9 points.
The newly elected members of the Judges' Disciplinary Committee include judges Arman Hovhannisyan, Hovik Shahnazaryan from the General Jurisdiction Court of Yerevan, Sergey Marabyan from the Court of Appeals, and Lilit Katvalyan from the Bankruptcy Court. It is noteworthy that these judges have high and medium ratings: Hovik Shahnazaryan has a score of 33 points, Lilit Katvalyan has 23 points, Arman Hovhannisyan has 52 points, and Sergey Marabyan has 70 points.
It should be recalled that the Armenian government nominated lawyer and scholar Vahram Avetisyan for the position of Constitutional Court judge.
