Products from Armenia Disappear from 'Tvoy Dom' Shopping Centers, Says Armenian Ambassador in Russia
Products from Armenian manufacturers have disappeared from the 'Tvoy Dom' shopping center network. This was stated in an interview with RBC by Vardan Toghanyan, Armenia's ambassador to Russia.
“This morning we were approached by large Armenian exporters who reported that all Armenian-made products have been removed from the entire network of 'Tvoy Dom' shopping centers, which belongs to Araz Agalarov and other persons from a neighboring country,” the ambassador said.
The ambassador noted that this concerns canned goods, as well as mineral water and alcohol. “At the same time, all the counters have been filled with products made in Azerbaijan. This is already a provocation aimed at transforming Russian trade points into ‘Greater Karabakh,’ which carries dangerous consequences. We have electronic correspondence from Armenian companies and dealers with the managers of the shopping center. They openly cite instructions from management regarding the suspension of the acceptance of products made in Armenia. This is a fact. I have informed the relevant authorities about this,” Toghanyan added.
