Healthcare System Tension Has Been Partially Eased: Nikol Pashinyan
In recent days, the tension in the healthcare system has been partially eased. This was announced today, July 16, by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government meeting.
“We are analyzing that this may be related to the expansion of anti-epidemic measures, particularly the increased usage of masks,” he stated.
Health Minister Arsen Torosyan added, “Comparing with the figures from two weeks ago, we must note that we have significant progress in terms of the healthcare system's tension, the availability of beds, and the provision of swift and proper medical assistance to our citizens. The absolute increase in numbers, but stability as well, is a result of the anti-epidemic actions being carried out by both the population and the government. For the past four days, we have not had any patients waiting at home, nor do we have any patients waiting to be transferred to other healthcare facilities. The number of severe and extremely severe patients remains stable, fluctuating around 650, with approximately 50 individuals connected to ventilators.
