VIDEO: The Stolen Wallet Contained an Estimated $1,307 and 40,000 Drams
On July 5, around 2 PM, a report was received at the Nor Nork police station regarding a residential burglary. The operational investigative group that arrived at the scene on Acharyan Street discovered that the intruder had entered through an open window. A wallet was stolen from the residence, which, according to preliminary data, contained an estimated $1,307 and 40,000 drams.
This information was provided by the Armenian Police. In connection with the incident, a criminal case was initiated in the investigative department of the Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts. The criminal detectives of Avan undertook various operational measures.
Two and a half hours after the report, the suspect was located and taken to the Avan police department, where they were presented to the investigative body handling the case and subsequently arrested.
Further measures led to the discovery of the stolen wallet and several hundred thousand drams. Preliminary data suggests that the suspect exchanged the dollars for drams and spent part of the amount. Operational-search measures and investigative actions to clarify all circumstances of the residential burglary are ongoing.
