Another Defendant Released on $750,000 Bail in Floyd Murder Case
Another one of the four former police officers charged in the high-profile murder of African American George Floyd has been released on bail. According to bbc.com, Tu Tao is accused of aiding and abetting murder.
The bail amount is set at $750,000. Notably, Derek Chauvin, who directly suffocated the victim, remains in custody.
To recall, the murder of George Floyd, an African American man, occurred on May 25 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This incident sparked days of protests nationwide, with people demanding strict accountability for police officer Derek Chauvin, who had knelt on Floyd's neck, killing him, as well as for the other three officers present at the scene who failed to act to save the man.
It is also worth mentioning that earlier, two other defendants in Floyd's murder case were released on bail.
