3147 Pills and Other Prohibited Items Discovered in Armavir Prison Package

The fight against the influx of prohibited items into correctional facilities continues steadily, as reported by the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.

Specifically, on July 6, around 12:00 PM, the officers of the Armavir Correctional Facility of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, acting on operational intelligence, inspected a refrigerator delivered by former convict A. S. on behalf of convict A. K.

In a specially prepared hiding place at the bottom of the refrigerator, two packages filled with 2988 and 159 assorted white pills of unknown origin, respectively, as well as six mobile phones, three charging devices, and headphones were discovered.

Materials are being prepared regarding the incident, and a forensic chemical examination has been appointed.
