Details of the Tragic Car Accident in Gegharkunik Province
On July 5, a tragic car accident occurred in Gegharkunik Province. Around 00:10, a 27-year-old resident of Gegharkunik, Arshavir G., while driving an Opel Astra, collided with a Toyota Alphard driven by 25-year-old Ashot G. on the 53.6 km section of the Tsovagyugh–Shorzha–Vardenis highway. The cars veered off the roadway and plunged into Lake Sevan.
According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, Arshavir G. died at the scene. His body was retrieved by local citizens and rescuers from the Gegharkunik regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
