19-Year-Old Passenger Who Was Taken to Hospital After Major Car Accident Has Died

On June 24, a 19-year-old resident of Gethahovit village in Gegharkunik Province, Hamlet Khechyan, passed away in the intensive care unit of the Sevan Medical Center. According to Shamshyan.com, he was admitted to the hospital following a car accident that occurred on June 23 in Gegharkunik Province.

As previously reported, the accident took place in Gegharkunik Province. Around 11:00 PM, a collision occurred on the Yerevan-Ijevan highway at the 73.1 km mark involving a VAZ 2106 vehicle driven by 30-year-old Sasun Sanyan, a resident of Tsovagyugh village, and a VAZ 2107 vehicle driven by 21-year-old Spartak Yengibaryan, a resident of Gethahovit village.

As a result of the accident, two passengers were injured and hospitalized: Hamlet Khechyan, a resident of Gethahovit village who was a passenger in Yengibaryan's vehicle, and Gurgen Saribekyan, a 30-year-old passenger in Sanyan's vehicle. Investigations are underway regarding the incident.
