Man Charged with Illegal Drug Trafficking, Case Sent to Court
The investigation into a criminal case concerning the illegal circulation of drugs by a 44-year-old man has concluded in the Arabkir Investigation Division of the Investigative Committee of Armenia in Yerevan. This was reported by the Public Relations Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
According to the factual data obtained during the investigation, a 44-year-old resident of Yerevan, lacking permission to acquire and store drugs, illegally acquired and sold significant amounts of methamphetamine to an acquaintance at a residence on A. Khachatryan Street in Yerevan between August 16 and November 16, 2018.
Based on sufficient evidence gathered, the man has been charged under the first part of Article 266 of the RA Criminal Code (illegal circulation of drugs, psychotropic substances, and their precursors for the purpose of trafficking or the illegal sale of such substances). A signature not to leave the locality has been selected as a measure of restraint against him.
The investigation has been completed, and the criminal case has been sent to court with an indictment.
