Search Announced for 6 Individuals in Connection with the Murder of a 28-Year-Old on May 9 Street

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has revealed several details regarding the murder of a 28-year-old man on May 9 Street, which is under investigation by the Shengavit division of the Yerevan Investigative Department. Six individuals have been charged under Article 104 (murder) and Article 235 (illegal acquisition, transfer, or carrying of firearms, ammunition, or explosives) of the RA Criminal Code.

A search has been announced for these individuals, and a decision has been made to detain them. Measures are being taken to uncover all circumstances of the incident, locate the firearms used in the crime, and identify the actions of each suspected individual.

As previously reported, on June 9, 2020, at approximately 5:00 PM, a dispute erupted between the 28-year-old victim and a group of individuals in the yard of one of the buildings on May 9 Street. During this altercation, shots were fired with illegally obtained and possessed firearms in a manner endangering many lives, with the intent to unlawfully take the man's life.

The investigation is ongoing.
