Wearing a Mask While Taking a Taxi is Mandatory, but Passengers Cannot Sit Next to the Driver
Auroranews has been receiving numerous calls from taxi drivers who are being fined because they are not fully informed about the decisions set by the Armenian government's emergency command during the state of emergency.
Therefore, we clarify once again: wearing a mask while taking a taxi is mandatory, but passengers cannot sit next to the driver. Additionally, only two passengers are allowed to sit in the back of the car. This information was provided to Auroranews by the Armenian emergency command.
"No more than 3 passengers can sit in the back of the car; transport of passengers is allowed only if there are two passengers seated in the back, away from the driver," the emergency command clarified in our conversation.
This is again in place to maintain safety regulations aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus.
