Some Political Forces Fail to Make Accurate Political Calculations: Makunts on Tsarukyan's Statement

“Some political forces fail to make accurate political calculations. Betting all hopes on the Prime Minister’s COVID-19 infection and calling for consolidation against the ruling party during a pandemic, for the purpose of satisfying political and personal motives, is akin to undertaking treacherous actions against the state in wartime,” stated Lilit Makunts, the leader of the ‘My Step’ faction, in response to statements made by Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia party.

“However, some individuals attempt to present this with grandiloquent speeches about 'thinking of the country, for the people and the state.' Yes, we do not have the experience of being embroiled in theft or corruption. Yes, we do not have any palaces, and we do not use our positions to create or seize businesses. Yes, we do not exploit or plunder. And yes, we will overcome this situation. I regret that the leader of the Prosperous Armenia faction sees himself not as part of the solution to overcoming this difficult situation with the authorities and citizens of Armenia, but rather as a rejected fragment of political forces wishing to restore themselves,” she concluded.

Recall that Gagik Tsarukyan had announced yesterday that 100 percent of the government should be changed because all sectors have failed.
