Hrant Bagratyan's Statement Has Quite Excited Azerbaijan: Gabriel Balayan

As I follow Azerbaijan's reaction in my official capacity, Hrant Bagratyan's statement has quite excited them. This was noted today by Deputy Minister of Defense Gabriel Balayan during a briefing with journalists in the National Assembly, referring to Bagratyan as a disgraceful figure.

It is important to recall that Bagratyan stated that if he were in Aliyev's position, he would have launched an attack on Artsakh and Armenia within 3-4 months. “Any political groundless speculation related to the country's defense and security should make a citizen think first, and second, taking into account the damage caused, yes, they should be held accountable. We will take measures in this direction, especially in connection with the recent events,” Balayan said.

He emphasized that regarding the April incidents, 17 criminal cases have been launched, of which 15 have been closed, one remains in court, and one is in progress.

Regarding the weapons produced in Armenia, we expect that by the beginning of July, this weapon will already be produced in Armenia. “At this stage, we are talking about small arms,” he said.
