Major Car Accident in Kapan: Collision Between Lexus and Niva Leaves Injured

On May 29, a major car accident occurred in the Syunik region. Around 8:30 PM, a head-on collision took place on Spandaryan Street in the city of Kapan between a VAZ 2121 driven by 57-year-old Suren Antonian, a resident of Kapan, and a Lexus GX 470 driven by 38-year-old Armen Hambardzumyan from Kajaran.

According to reports from Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, driver S. Antonian was taken to the Kapan Medical Center with bodily injuries. The investigation at the scene was led by senior investigator Vahagn Kostanyan, who is preparing materials on the incident.

According to sources, Lexus driver A. Hambardzumyan is the head of the enrichment factory at Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine LLC. Preliminary information indicates that the Niva driver was at fault for the accident, having veered into the oncoming lane and colliding with the Lexus.
