The Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, has addressed the remarks made by NA member Gevorg Petrosyan about him on his Facebook page. He wrote: "Alright, whatever he wrote, God be with him, but can someone explain why he decided to post a picture of himself standing on a bridge with his best polished shoes while writing a status about me?"

Earlier, Gevorg Petrosyan had written on his Facebook page: "Yesterday someone boasted with a trembling voice from the main podium of the NA that 'if necessary, we'll hold a referendum every hour'... What can you say about that man who is entangled with self-deception? If you're the one who can hold a referendum every hour, what are you waiting for? Why haven’t you been able to 'get things done' for the past few months? And then, what does it mean to hold a referendum every hour? Someone has deceived this person, and it's a terrible deception... Oh boy, the people aren't your toy that you can send to the polling station every hour... But I'll say again, maybe he is right... That he can, with his own strength, hold a referendum, and every hour he can take one person to the polling station, and it’s not certain that this one person will cast their vote for him...
