Public Transport and Metro to Reopen in Georgia; Passengers Required to Wear Masks
Public transport within cities in Georgia will resume operations starting May 29. This announcement was made by Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia following a coordinating council meeting. According to aliq.ge, citizens will need to adhere to certain regulations, including mandatory wearing of protective masks.
“The spread of the virus is being monitored. The internal transmission rate in the country is low. Although the virus continues to be present, we must maintain the basic safety standards in consideration of our citizens' interests. The metro will also reopen on May 29,” Gakharia stated.
