VIDEO: The Activity of Approximately 650 Businesses Suspended
As a result of active inspections conducted by the Health and Labor Inspection Body throughout all regions of Armenia, a decision has been made to temporarily suspend the activities of approximately 650 business entities.
This information was provided by the Health and Labor Inspection Body (HLIB).
The main violations recorded relate to employees not wearing personal protective equipment such as masks and gloves, the absence of disinfectants, deficiencies in disinfecting surfaces that are frequently contacted, issues with temperature measurement and record-keeping, as well as the lack of enclosed bins for used masks and gloves, and separate changing rooms for outerwear.
The majority of calls and complaints received through the HLIB hotline pertain to retail establishments, followed by service centers, pharmacies, beauty salons, and more. Applications and complaints received via the hotline and online are taken into account for ongoing inspections.
The HLIB inspections also record cases of repeated violations, indicating that the same infractions continue to be present at the same business entity. For repeat violators, more severe penalties will be applied than a 24-hour suspension.
Businesses in banks, manufacturing, hair salons, industrial enterprises, service sector companies, and others that do not adhere to safety regulations will be strictly closed for a longer period, as instructed by the Prime Minister of Armenia.
