Car Goes Off the Road and Falls into Marmarik River

On May 24, at 22:05, the National Crisis Management Center received information about a road accident at the beginning of Meghradzor village in Kotayk province.

A fire and rescue team from the Kotayk provincial rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a "Volkswagen Vento" (driver: Koryun S., born in 1963) had gone off the roadway and fallen into the Marmarik River. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.

Before rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver was extricated from the river by local residents. Rescuers used a crane to retrieve the vehicle from the river.
