Man Takes Hostages at Moscow's Alfa Bank, Threatens to Blow Up Building

A man who took hostages at Moscow's Alfa Bank has been arrested. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing an official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Investigative actions are being carried out with the suspect. The perpetrator had taken at least five people hostage in the bank's office and threatened to blow up the bank.

Law enforcement officials were engaged in negotiations with the assailant. Special rapid response units of the Russian National Guard were present at the scene.

The Moscow Transport Information Center reported traffic blockages in the area. According to some reports, the man demanded a large sum of money from the employees and left a note in the bank stating, "I don’t need anything from you, just the truth." Additionally, he requested for singer Olga Buzova to be brought to him. The criminal stated that he wanted to talk with the singer because she had "stolen something from him."

It is known that bank employees managed to leave the building safely through a rear entrance, with only one visitor remaining as a hostage.
