Woman Stabs Ex-Husband in Kotayk Province

On May 19, 2020, around 2:00 AM, the Armenian police received a report that a 30-year-old man had been taken to the Armenia Medical Center with a stab wound to the abdomen.

In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated in the Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia under Article 112 (causing serious harm to health intentionally) of the Criminal Code of Armenia.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the former spouses had a dispute in the mentioned location, during which the woman struck her husband in the chest and abdomen with a kitchen knife, intentionally causing serious harm to his health.

During the examination of the crime scene, the knife used in the crime was found and seized, and forensic medical examinations have been appointed for the case.

The wife of the 30-year-old man has been interrogated, and a preventive measure has been selected for her - a signature not to leave.

The preliminary investigation continues.
