Fatal Collision on Yerevan-Meghri Road Involves VAZ-2106 and Truck

On May 14, at 21:44, the National Center for Crisis Management received a call reporting a traffic accident at the intersection of Zarritap village in Vayots Dzor province.

A firefighting team from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that at the 141st kilometer of the Yerevan-Meghri M-2 highway, a VAZ-2106 car, driven by Hakob T. (born in 1972), collided with a KamAZ truck driven by Levon Kh. (born in 1966). The driver of the VAZ-2106 was pronounced dead at the scene.

The rescuers disconnected the power supply of the VAZ-2106 and closed the gas cylinder valve. They used specialized equipment to extract Hakob T.'s body from the vehicle and transported it to the ambulance. The car was transported on a tow truck.
