Youth Clash in Yerevan Over Right of Way Dispute

On May 13, at 21:14, the Mashtots police station received a report of a street fight on Lukashin Street involving young individuals. Police operative groups immediately rushed to the scene.

Through operational-investigative measures, it was revealed that around 21:00, near the first building on Lukashin Street, two young men, aged 18 and 22, got into a dispute over yielding the right of way. The argument escalated when their friends joined in.

In a blatant violation of public order, they shouted insults at each other for an extended period, which escalated into violence, with the use of stones, a metal rod, and a hammer inflicting mutual blows.

Two individuals sought medical assistance for injuries at a hospital. At 23:00, police officers from Mashtots detained four young men on suspicion of hooliganism. Efforts are underway to identify the other participants of the brawl.

The circumstances of the incident are being investigated. Forensic examinations have been ordered, and materials are being prepared.
