Details: A 37-Year-Old Man from Lori Province Assaults His Mother-in-Law and Sets His Dog on Her, Leading to Her Death

Police in Tumanyan are searching for 37-year-old Gurgen Gevorgyan, a resident of the village of Tzater in Lori Province. According to Shamshyan.com, Gevorgyan is suspected of brutally killing his mother-in-law on May 1.

Information disclosed by a photojournalist reveals that the Tumanyan police community service center received reports that years ago, Gevorgyan sought revenge for being unjustly sent to a psychiatric hospital, as well as due to reasons relating to curses against him and his children. On May 1, around 8:00 PM, he brutally assaulted and then unleashed the family dog on his 78-year-old mother-in-law, Gulasar Maksudyan, causing her to be mauled by the dog. Following the attack, she succumbed to her injuries.

After the incident, Gevorgyan created a false alibi, claiming that the dog had escaped and attacked G. Maksudyan, and that he barely managed to pull her away from the dog’s jaws and bring her inside.

Previously, it was reported that on May 2, a tragic incident occurred in Lori Province. Around 5:30 PM, in one of the houses in the village of Tzater, the shepherd dog had injured the homeowner, 78-year-old G. M., leading to her death shortly thereafter.
