Accident Occurs in Dzoraqbyur Village: Casualties Reported

On May 9, at 18:15, the National Crisis Management Center received a notification regarding a traffic accident on the Jrvaz-Dzoraqbyur highway. This was reported by the Information and Public Relations Department.

A team from the Emergency Situations Ministry’s Fire and Rescue Directorate in Yerevan and the special rescue operations center were dispatched to the scene.

It was discovered that three vehicles—a 1953-model "Opel Astra G" (driver: Hamlet S.), another "Opel Astra G" (driver: Edgar P.), and a "Mercedes-Benz S600"—collided near the address of 10/28, Street of Greenhouses, in Dzoraqbyur village, Kotayk Province. As a result of the collision, the "Opel Astra G" veered off the roadway and fell from a bridge.

The rescuers assisted the passengers of the "Opel Astra G" (Lilit H., born in 1948; Marine P., born in 1956; Aram S., born in 1986; and Ashot S., born in 1956) and transported them to an ambulance, where they were taken to the Mikayelian Institute of Surgery, where doctors assessed their condition as stable.

The rescuers disconnected the "Opel Astra G" from the power source and closed the valve of the gas cylinder.
