Drunk Driver Crashes Audi into Electric Pole in Yerevan; Hospitalized with 5-Year-Old
On May 2nd, an accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 11:00 PM, 39-year-old Paruir Manukyan, a resident of the Nor Aresh neighborhood, crashed his Audi A4 into an electric pole on Artsakh Avenue. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the crash, driver P. Manukyan was taken to the Erebuni Medical Center with bodily injuries, while his 5-year-old passenger, Alen Manukyan, was transported to the Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center.
Materials are being prepared concerning the incident. Driver P. Manukyan underwent a sobriety test, and it was determined that he was driving under the influence (intoxicated). The car, which had empty and half-empty beer bottles inside, was moved to a special area maintained by the Yerevan Traffic Police upon the investigator's directive. According to G. Shamshyan, Alen Manukyan, who was taken to the hospital, is the driver's son.
