Armed Robbery: Cash and Hunting Rifle Stolen
An armed robbery has occurred in the Lori Province, where masked assailants targeted a local resident. The police department in Spitak received a report from 75-year-old Ghushik M. of the village of Arevashogh, who stated that two masked individuals entered his home and, under the threat of a knife, demanded money and gold.
Photographer Gagik Shamsyan reports that the robbers ransacked the entire house, stealing 100,000 Armenian drams, 5,000 Russian rubles, as well as a ring from an elderly woman’s hand, a mobile phone, and a smooth-bore hunting rifle.
Following the report, the head of the Lori regional police, Tigran Karapetyan, along with an operational group from the Spitak police department and a team from the Lori regional investigative department of the Armenian Investigative Committee, arrived at the scene. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident.
