Emergency Situations Ministry Disinfects Vardenis Polyclinic
The specialized team from the Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Monitoring Division of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, in collaboration with rescuers from the Gegharkunik Regional Rescue Department, conducted disinfection operations on April 22 at the hospital (3300 sq. m.) and the polyclinic (1800 sq. m.) in Vardenis city, as well as six ambulances and the residence of a citizen confirmed to have contracted the coronavirus.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, all safety regulations were observed during the operations. In accordance with the decision No. 48 of April 21, 2020, by the Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, a special regime was established for entering and exiting the administrative borders of the Vardenis community in the Gegharkunik region, prohibiting the entry and exit of individuals and vehicles, except for the supply of essential goods, materials, food, medicines, and fuel.
The restrictions will remain in effect until April 28 at 23:59. The Ministry of Emergency Situations is committed to consistently carrying out disinfection efforts.
