14 Inmates on Hunger Strike at Vanadzor Penitentiary

14 inmates are on hunger strike at the Vanadzor Penitentiary. This information has been reported by the Vanadzor office of the Helsinki Civil Assembly.

This morning, the Human Rights Defender received an alert from the Vanadzor Penitentiary. Currently, 14 individuals are engaged in a hunger strike. Ten of them have submitted a request to the penitentiary director, protesting that they are not being released early.

The grievances of the other four are linked to previous unlawful actions taken by the prosecutor's office, which they claim resulted in illegal decisions being made against them.
